Biography Jennifer Louie, violin and Artistic Director
Jennifer founded Jennifer Louie Violin & Musicians after a colleague asked her to play at a friend's wedding in 2002. Since her first wedding performance, Jennifer saw that many brides and grooms and corporate clients wanted to have beautiful string music played in a variety of styles and has adapted to their needs including adding contemporary songs to her repertoire. Jennifer feels that live music adds a special touch to any event and it gives an opportunity for people to remember an event in a wonderful way for years to come. Additional awards include: Couples Choice Award 2017, 2018, Bronze Award 2016, and Blue Award 2015 from Wedding Wire. As a violinist, Jennifer has performed professionally in weddings, parties, receptions to symphony orchestras, opera companies and touring pops orchestras throughout the US and Europe. With Albany Records and the Ohio Light Opera, Jennifer has recorded 14 classical CDs and 3 theatrical DVDs. She has performed in various venues from private residences to Carnegie Hall. She holds a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from Illinois State University and a Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from Western Washington University and is an alumna of The University of Alabama with violin performance as her major emphasis. She was a guest conductor with Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra in 2016. Jennifer loves Pure Barre, reading, travelling and spending time with her family.
